  3. Why do I need .NET 1.1 on Windows to play TotButtons?

TotButtons protects all files and applications from misuse or abuse by employing features within the Microsoft .NET framework. This is done to ensure that your child will not accidentally remove or alter files, or the Desktop configuration. The .NET download from Microsoft is free, and is a standard part of new Windows installations.

  4. Is every key "locked out" in every case?

Some keyboards (laptops in particular) have optional software to control the media and extended keys. While TotButtons has been designed to protect a PC from accidental keystrokes, it will not always perform as designed when custom keyboard software is installed. If you use a Logitech keyboard and run the accompanying SetPoint software, TotButtons cannot disable the extended keys. All other features and functionality are not affected.

  5. Are my Sleep and Hibernate keys disabled? (Windows)

This release of Tot Buttons will lock out access to every key on your keyboard with exception to the 'Sleep' button (for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP users). To ensure that your system is protected from an unplanned hibernation, it is recommended that you disable the 'Sleep' button prior to starting up the TotButtons application. Click here for easy instructions on how to disable this.
